The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist

Aloha!!!

So In a previous post I mentioned how I took a little spending stumble into The Body Shop and came out with quite a few treats and some have now become holy grail products and that is the Vitamin E Face Mist.

How the hell have I coped in life before this stuff came along I honestly have no idea. The Body Shop Vitamin E Face Mist £8.00 is a refreshing moisture boost spray for the face. It comes in a handy 100ml spray bottle and has a lovely rose scent to it. Its great as a instant boost I actually took it to the gym the other day and it was perfect for a quick refresh I will definitely be keeping it in my bag. What I have mainly been using this bottle of perfection for is setting my make up. Once I have finished applying my make up for the day I give at least 2 sprays to the face and my make up stays put for the whole day and gives you a lovely finish. This stuff is seriously that good. I have even been reading reviews and apparently its good if you spray it on to make up brushes its great for holding eyeshadow in place so I will need to try that out.

Honestly guys this stuff is pretty awesome if you haven't tried it you must, it will fast become a new favourite. It can even be used on all skin types so why not give it a go.

Hope you enjoyed my rambling

There wont be a post at the weekend as I'm off to see Katy Perry so will be posting regularly after the weekend. In the mean time have a fab one!!!

The Body Shop Eye Definer in Smoky Plum

I was in The Body Shop a few weekends ago and whilst picking up a few of my favourite items I took a wander over to the make up section and decided to go for something a little out of my comfort zone and that is a colour eyeliner.

The Body Shop Carbon Eye Definers £9.00 come in 4 high pigmented shades, I went for a beautiful deep purple. It has a lovely smooth texture it's easy to apply and comes with a built in smudger  at the opposite end of the pencil which is great for doing a smoky eye look. It is also water resistant which is perfect for summer times for me as I can suffer from hayfever pretty bad and get watery eyes, least I know with this on its staying on. Applying this eyeliner it goes on pretty smooth and the staying power of this is really good I have been applying it in the morning gone off out and it has lasted all day, till bed time where I remove my make up using my Body Shop Camomile cleansing butter which removes it like a dream.

I have been using this on my top lash line and loving it, its a subtle hint of colour for the eyes which is great for day to day wear and its a great break from the black.

I also tried it out with a deep purple lipstick and it worked out really well.

Have you guys tried any of these liners? or any colour liners I would love to know what you guys recommend.

Hope you enjoyed this post

My Evening Skincare Routine!

So I have already shared with you wonderful lot my morning skincare routine that I figured I best show you what products I use on an evening. Evening skincare has to be my favourite as I always feel like Im giving my skin a mini pamper. So lets get started!!

If its a day where I have quite a bit of eye make up on I use The Body Shop Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Remover £8.00 I just shake it up and down so the 2 liquids mix in together then get a cotton pad using just a small amount of the liquid  I place the pad on my eyes then wipe away the make up. After this I use The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter £12.00 to remove the rest of my make up, I love this stuff. You just apply it on a dry face apply the product to your fingers then massage round the face seeing the make up melt away I then rinse off with a muslin cloth and warm water. After removing my make up I take my Cetaphil cleanser £8.99 use 2 pumps on a cotton pad and work it into my skin.

Once I have done all my cleansing I use Superdrugs Optimum Swiss Apple Overnight Skin Renewal Serum £14.99  by just applying 2 pumps on to my fingers then using circular motions massaging in to my face and neck. I then apply my Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream £2.99 this is a lovely thick luxurious cream perfect for bed time. Then I use my eye cream, I am currently using 2 so I decide on the night which one I use, during the day I use Boots Vitamin E Gentle Eye Cream £2.54 so sometimes I will use it again at night. My other option is Superdrugs Optimum Super Antioxidant Grape Ultra Protecting Eye Cream £9.99. I just use a small amount dotting the product around my eye area then massaging it in. After I have done all that I use a lip balm or butter to help keep the lips moisturised, I am currently using an nspa one in coconut ice which I received in a Christmas present.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, these are the items I am currently using and that seem to be doing the trick to helping keep my skin healthy. Which products do you swear by for your evening routine?

That's all from me

My Morning Skincare Routine!

Hello you beautiful lot

I thought I would show you guys my morning skincare routine, I have pretty temperamental skin that can be oily, sensitive and dry but these products I have been using recently as part of my routine have sure done my skin some good. I haven't had any random patches of dry skin lately or had any recent break outs including allergic reactions. At the moment I have some pretty happy skin which makes a very happy SJ!! So I figured why not share with you beauty's what I use.

So to start off when I'm in the shower I use Soap and Glory's Peaches and Clean 3-in-1 deep purifying cleanser £8.00 to waken up my skin I use just one pump and work it into my face using circular motions and then wash off. Once I'm finished in the shower I use my Cetaphil cleanser £8.99, Yes I use 2 cleansers but I like the soap and glory one to waken my face up in the morning and then I use Cetaphil for cleansing properly, you don't need to cleanse twice this has just worked for me. For the Cetaphil I either use one pump and work it into my skin then rinse off or I use one pump on a cotton pad massaging it into my face.

Once I have double cleansed I then tone using The Body Shop Seaweed Clarifying Toner £8.00 using just a small amount on a cotton pad working round my face. For the eyes to keep them hydrated and fighting away those pesky wrinkles I use Boots Vitamin E Gentle Eye Cream £2.54 where I use just a small amount dotting it around the eye area massaging it in. I finish off with my Superdrug Vitamin E Day Cream £2.99 I dot this cream on my chin, forehead and cheeks then working it into my skin, this stuff smells lovely and is super moisturising I love this range its so cheap and great to my skin.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post.

Catch you all soon

The Body Shop Treats

Now I'm not sure about you but when I get an email from The Body Shop mentioning 40% off all orders I am straight on that website looking for things I can treat myself to.

I got quite a few things that I have never tried before and a few old favourites, so I thought I would share them with you beautiful people. I will include a link for each item and the cost it is on the site.

From left to Right:

Mango Body Mist, this stuff is my favourite body mist ever!!! So I couldn't not buy myself a bottle with the 40% off. The smell is just ahmazing and reminds me of summer so much as I usually layer the scent by using the mango body lotion then spritz the body mist on and to finish it off some of the mango perfume. I would smell mangolicious all day!! Oh god just typing this I have had to go get the lotion over just to smell haha! Unfortunately it isn't on their website anymore :( I hope it hasn't been discontinued, maybe I'm just being a dafty and cant see it but they do have other body mists too which you can check out here. They are priced at £7.50.

Seaweed Clarifying Toner £8.00 Now this stuff appealed to me as it had a little online sticker saying it was a Best Seller and I had been looking for a toner to add to my routine so thought I shall pop that in my bag too and see what all the fuss is about. It aims to re balance combination skin, refresh and purify the skin. Sounds good enough to me. I have used this a couple of times since buying it and it certainly wakes up my skin.

Rainforest Radiance Hair Butter, this little treat was for my recently coloured hair as a weekly treatment. It aims to protect your coloured hair giving you lovely shiney radiant hair. Contains no parabens, colourants or silicones. And did I mention how lovely it smells? lovely and fruity plus the smell lingers in your hair that I end up sitting sniffing my hair haha thats not weird at all. I got this in a little 50ml pot for £3.00 you can also get it in 200ml for £8.00. They also have different ones for different hair types so if your hairs not coloured there is other's you can treat yourself to instead.

Now the Camomile range has appealed to me for a while, anything that's gentle on the skin is worth a go I like to think. So I went for the Waterproof eye and lip make up remover, this is another remover that you need to shake to activate the 2 solutions working together. What appealed the most to me about this product was that it states its suitable for sensitive skin types which I can be especially around the eye area and also suitable for contact lense wearers which I am. Again I have only used this a handful of times but it does a damn good job of shifting the eye make up, I am very impressed. At £8.00 for a 150ml bottle its very reasonable a little goes a long way as I only use this specifically for my eyes.

Lastly is the Sumptuous Cleansing Butter, a solid cleanser that melts away make up?! What madness is this? I had just about finished my Liz Earle Hot Cloth Cleanser and was in search for a new one. I had seen so many review's on Clinique's Take the Day off cleansing balm and was rather intrigued by it however the price didn't have me that intrigued to get it. So I seen the Camomile one and thought would give this a bash plus would be getting it cheaper too. This is again suitable for sensitive skin types and contact lense wearers, it melts away your make up leaving your skin lovely clean and fresh! When you take the lid off you only need to move your fingers in circular motion a couple of times to get the product on you then massage it into you dry face (make up still on) and you start to see your make up melting away, I was proper panda eyes when I first done it. You then get a damp muslin cloth £2.50 and simply wipe away! This stuff is awesome I thoroughly recommend it. It smells so lovely and leaves your skin clean and soft. Its at £12.00 for a 90ml pot but again a lot does go a long way with this at it is a solid cleansing butter you only need a little. Love This!!!

Tried to get a photo of what the butter looked like but camera was being a bit awkward.

So there you go that's been my latest Body Shop Binge, if you want to know when they have offer's on I would recommend signing up on their website. I am so thankful for these emails of treats for their customers. I think I saved about £20-£25.

That's all from me till next time

Favorites of 2013!!

Heylo!!

I cant believe that we are so close to the end of 2013 and closer to starting 2014! I don't know about you but I feel that this past year has just gone flying by. So with that in mind I thought I would do a post about my favorite products I used and loved this year! As I only started blogging at the end of October there will be products that I wont have mentioned before so this gives me the chance too let you know on what other lovely things I have enjoyed this year.

So to start we have my bathroom items:

For body lotions I have enjoyed many Soap and Glory items, mainly the Sugar Crush Body Butter £10.50 I love the thick luxurious consistency of this body butter and the smell is so lovely and zesty. Another popular lotion was my Body Shop Mango Whip Body Lotion £3.00 this stuff is not only super moisturizing it smells amazing!! I bought this the body spray and the little bottle of perfume so i could layer the smell and it lasted all day, whenever I smell it now it reminds me of summer adventures with Gordee.

At Cleansers we have the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish £14.75 the is jammed pack full of natural ingredients its gentle to the skin and removes stubborn make up perfectly. My everyday cleanser has to be my Cetaphil £8.35 I just love this stuff, its fragrance free and does not irritate my skin.

I had to add the Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub £5.50 for perfectly soft smooth lips plus it tastes yummy.

On to the skin

The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Reviver £14.00 is still very much a staple in my morning routine, I love that it wakes my skin up in the morning, prepping me up for another day. I done a full blog post on this here. For my moisturiser I have tried a few different ones however I always go back to Superdrugs Vitamin E Intense Moisture Cream £2.99 its thick and creamy, smells beautiful and is packed of healthy vitamins which I feel has really helped heal my skin from scarring and keeping it healthy looking. For a full review on this I blogged about it here. My night time moisturiser has to be the Soap & Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator £13.00 to start it smells of peaches! and its super moisturising to the skin. Since using this my skin has felt a lot more plump and looks a lot healthier. I featured this in one of my first blog posts and go a bit more in to detail about it here. And lastly where would I be without the Origins Super Spot Remover £14.00 I would be a spotty stressed out mess that's where I would be! This stuff has well and truly impressed me and without a doubt I will continue to purchase. For a full review I blogged about here.

Lastly hair!

I cannot live without a can of Batiste Dry Shampoo £1.48 my hair can get terribly greasy so in the days between washing this stuff is a savior. Making my hair feeling fresh and lasting another day. This year I have really cut back on drying my hair with a hair dryer and letting it dry natural when it dries naturally it tends to go wavy at the ends. I used to find this frustrating but this year I decided to embrace it, I spray a little bit of Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray £6.50  to the ends to add a little bit of texture. Before I wash my hair I like to treat it once or twice a month with a VO5 Hot Oil £4.29  just to give it a bit of a boost with moisture, it always feels silky soft and shiny after I use one.

So that's the end of my favorites of 2013 part 1 hope you wonderful lot have enjoyed it, part 2 will be shortly with my fave make up and nail treats. Whats been your favorite products you have used this year?

Wakey Wakey

Now that winter is well on its way my skin tends to look little dull and lifeless, needing a little bit of a pick me up. I bought 2 products from The Body Shop which well and truly do the trick!!

These 2 beauties are from the Vitamin C range, since the clocks have changed and the dark nights have come creeping in my skin has just be needing that bit of zing to brighten me up.

To start we are talking Microdermabrasion this is a light exfoliator that aims to remove dead skin cells and improve skins appearance leaving it soft and smooth, It smells lovely and citrusy (if that's even a word). I use this twice a week which is what's recommended on the bottle, usually at night when I have removed my make up and cleansed my face. You only need a pea sized amount, apply to a wet face and use circular motions round the face and neck then simply rinse off. I have noticed a good difference in my skins radiance since using this over the past few weeks.

                                                   Vitamin C Microdermabrasion £13.00

My next wake up skin product is the Skin Reviver, now I have been using this stuff for about 4 months and I just love it!! It aims to be an instant radiance booster to smooth the skin and enhance its natural glow. Its texture is light almost like a serum and again it smells lovely with citrusy zestiness. You apply it to the skin after your moisturiser it can be worn alone or under make up. Now I used to use Benefits Porefessional for my make up primer but when I ran out I couldn't exactly afford to rush off to my closest Benefit counter and get another one but then I remembered this stuff does the same job and if I'm perfectly honest I do prefer the Skin Reviver very much!

                                                    Vitamin C Skin Reviver £14.00

If you guys have any skin care items that you use to help revitalise you're skin in these dull dark times I would love to hear, or if you want to leave some feedback that would be lovely just leave a comment below.

Thank You
